Refund Policy
A quick, human overview of how refunds work for photo sessions, digital tools, and SeshBot®.
1. Photo sessions (SaltySesh®)
Session retainers or booking fees are non-refundable. This covers the time we reserve for you, planning, and pre-session communication.
- More than 48 hours before your session: you may reschedule to a new date (subject to availability) at no additional cost. Your retainer carries over to the new date
- Within 48 hours of your session: the retainer is forfeited. We may offer a reschedule at our discretion on a case-by-case basis, but it is not guaranteed
- No-shows: if you do not show up and did not notify us, the retainer is forfeited and any remaining balance may still be due
If we need to cancel or reschedule (due to weather, illness, or emergency), we will reschedule at no cost or issue a full refund of all fees paid.
Full session fees already paid beyond the retainer may be refundable or transferable on a case-by-case basis in special circumstances. Just email us and we’ll talk it through like humans.
2. Digital products & presets (The Salty Shop)
Digital items (like presets, templates, and checklists) are delivered instantly and cannot be “returned,” so all digital product sales are generally final.
However, we may issue a refund in limited situations:
- Accidental duplicate purchase of the same item
- Technical issues where you cannot access the file and we’re unable to resolve it
- Fraudulent or clearly unauthorized purchases
If you’re having trouble installing or using a product, please contact us first — we’d rather help you get it working than send you away frustrated.
3. SeshBot® subscriptions (Starter, Essential, Pro)
SeshBot® is a monthly subscription service that uses generative AI and third-party services (including SMS carriers and AI providers). Billing works as follows:
- 30-day trial – new accounts start with a 30-day trial. If you cancel during the trial period, you will not be charged
- Monthly subscription – after the trial, you are billed monthly. We require 30 days' notice for cancellation. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period following the notice window
- No prorated refunds for partial months of use, unless required by law or in clear billing-error situations
We may, at our discretion, issue refunds or credits for:
- Clear billing errors or duplicate charges
- Major outages or issues on our end that significantly impact normal use
4. Chargebacks & disputes
If something feels off with a charge, please reach out to us first at hello@saltysesh.co. We’re a small studio and can usually sort things out much faster and more calmly than a formal dispute process.
5. How to request a refund or credit
Email hello@saltysesh.co with:
- Your name and email used for the purchase
- What you purchased (session, digital product, or SeshBot plan)
- Date of purchase and any receipt / order ID
- A short explanation of what went wrong
We’ll review and respond as soon as we can with next steps.
